Why Jay Cutler Is Essential For The Bears to Be Successful

Jay Cutler has been regarded as an above average to elite quarterback throughout his career. He has a big arm and can move an offense with ease when he is given adequate time to throw the ball. While he only has one career playoff victory, he is still essential to the Bears being a successful team.

He Is By Far The Best Quarterback On The Team

When Cutler was injured last season, the Bears had seven wins and were looking to clinch a spot in the playoffs. After Cutler was injured, Caleb Hanie led the Bears to one win and the Bears finished 8-8. This season, Jason Campell had to fill in for Cutler against the 49ers and the Bears were finished before halftime. Without Cutler, the Bears simply don’t have a fiery leader who has poise under pressure and the ability to effectively run the offense.
