Brett Favre Trained New Packers Quarterback

The final selection for the Green Bay Packers in the 2012 NFL Draft was a small-school QB, just like Brett Favre, and one who shares the same agent, Bus Cook, as Brett Favre.

On top of that, B.J. Coleman was trained by…yes, Brett Favre.

Is this part of the ‘ol Gunslinger’s master plan to sabotage Aaron Rodgers? I’d say “no”, because it seems Favre can’t make up his mind whether he still wants to be a Packer or if he still has an axe to grind over them wanting him to be present (and not in one of his retirements) at off-season. Yet, while Coleman was fantastic value in the 7th, the irony may make you laugh, or it at least makes you realize how old Favre is if he’s mentoring players half his age in anticipation of them getting drafted.

Fox color commentator Chad Pennington (who Favre pushed off the Jets in 2008) had mentored Hawai’i QB Bryant Moniz, who has not signed with any professional team yet.
