It’s sounding more and more like “Hard Knocks” on HBO will be making a comeback for the 2012 season, and ESPN NY reports that the Atlanta Falcons are starting to appear as the “strong contender” to appear on HBO show.
The Falcons were on the list for HBO last summer, and were approached by HBO three years ago, but at the time, they declined to take part in the show.

Now, after making it to the postseason in two straight years, they may be more open to it as they look to make another run at the NFC South title this season under Mike Smith.
“I truly believe that an organization has to be in the right spot to jump into something like Hard Knocks,” Dimitroff told Sirius/XM NFL Radio last May. “I think it sheds a lot of light on our league. This is a league of entertainment. There are some traditionalists that struggle with it, but they have to work against the grain a little bit and see that this is about entertainment. Hard Knocks is a good show for the fan base.”
