It sounds like the Dolphins like what they see when it comes to Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, as he is on his way to New York to meet with owner Stephen Ross on Thursday.
McCoy had a sit down with the Dolphins Monday, and it sounds like he along with Mike Zimmer are two of the front runners for the head coach opening.
McCoy just wrapped up his third season as the Broncos offensive coordinator and his first under head coach John Fox.
He did a great job getting the offense to fit around Tim Tebow, to the point where he helped Tebow and the Broncos win eight games after a 1-4 start to win the AFC West.
McCoy had been a candidate for the Jaguars head coaching job and an interview was requested by the Raiders.
