Brad Childress News, and the Coaches and QBs For the East-West Shrine Game and Senior Bowl Announced

Brad Childress has been interviewed for the head coaching vacancy in Tampa Bay. He will also be one of the head coaches (West) for the East-West Shrine Game. The other coach is Bobby Ross (East).

Ironically, his successor for the Vikings, Leslie Frazier, will be in Mobile, Alabama for the Senior Bowl with his staff. Coaching the other team will be Mike Shanahan and the Redskins staff.

In last year’s NFL Draft, the mad dash to draft a quarterback paid off to varying degrees for the Panthers, Titans, Jaguars, Vikings, and Bengals. They all drafted quarterbacks in the first two rounds, as did the 49ers with Colin Kaepernick, who hasn’t seen the field yet.

This year, the field of guys to take in the first couple of rounds has been winnowed with Matt Barkley and Landry Jones going back to school. Here are the quarterbacks for these two games, as well as for The Battle of Florida, the Casino del Sol All-Star Game, and the NFLPA All-Star Game:

The East-West Shrine Game (St. Petersburg, FL; Sat., January 21st, 4 PM ET on NFL Network)
East: BJ Coleman (Tennessee-Chattanooga), Austin Davis (Southern Mississippi), Johnny Brantley (Florida)
West: Tyler Hansen (Colorado), Chandler Harnish (Northern Illinois), Dan Persa (Northwestern)

The Senior Bowl (Mobile, AL; on NFL Network)
Nick Foles (Arizona), Kirk Cousins (Michigan State), Ryan Lindley (San Diego State), Kellen Moore (Boise State), Brandon Weeden (Oklahoma State), Russell Wilson (Wisconsin)

The Battle of Florida (Boca Raton, FL; Sat., January 21st, 8 PM ET on Fox College Sports)
North, coached by Bobby Bowden: Dominique Davis (East Carolina), Stephen Garcia (South Carolina), Josh McGregor (Jacksonville)
South, coached by Howard Schnellenberger: Sammuel Lamur (Kansas State), Chris Hart (Webber International), Wes Carroll (Florida International)

The Casino del Sol All-Star Game (Tucson, AZ; Mon., January 16th, 8 PM ET on Fox Sports Arizona)
Stars/East, coached by Houston Nutt: Jarrett Lee (LSU), GJ Kinne (Tulsa)
Stripes/West, coached by Pat Hill: Zac Dickey (Pittsburg State), Matthew Faulkner (San Jose State)

The NFLPA All-Star Game (Carson, CA; Sat., January 21st, 6 PM ET on NBC Sports Network; coaches Dick Vermeil and Tom Flores)
Jacory Harris (Miami), GJ Kinne (Tulsa), Bo Levi Mitchell (Eastern Washington)
