2 INTs to defensive lineman. Santonio Holmes benching himself at the end of the 19-17 game. It was a sad, frustrating ending for a team and a fan base that absolutely hates to lose. It may have just gotten sadder.
Rod Boone of New York Newsday mentioned today that a source told him Bart Scott doesn’t plan on returning next season.
Scott, age 31, finished the third year of his six-year Jets contract. It seems to me that Scott may just need some time to get over the disappointment of this season. It could be that, with time, he and Ladainian Tomlinson could change their minds. Tomlinson would need to mend fences with Santonio Holmes – if Holmes even comes back -, after Tomlinson said “it’s tough for the guys to follow a captain that kind of behaves in that manner” about Holmes.
The Jets had high expectations but found just about every way to lose in a season that wasn’t overwhelmed by injuries in a winnable AFC East.
Hit “Like” if you want to see the Jets use some of their early picks next year to get more explosive on defense.
