Chargers Ink WR Bryan Walters Off Practice Squad

The Chargers have elevated wide receiver Bryan Walters from the practice squad to the 53-man roster..

Walters spent the first seven weeks on the Chargers’ 53-man roster, catching three passes for 27 yards and averaging 5.6 yards on eight punt returns before he was waived so the team could add rookie linebacker Bront Bird off the practice squad before last Monday night’s overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Walters was re-signed to the practice squad during the week.

To make room for Walters, the Chargers released veteran inside linebacker Gerald Hayes, who was signed in October, but did not appear in a game.
