Carimi ruled out for Monday night

After returning to full participation during Wednesday’s practice, Bears rookie offensive tackle Gabe Carimi did not practice for the second consecutive day Saturday, and as a result, will not play Monday night in Philadelphia.

“Gabe Carimi hasn’t responded as well as we wanted him to, so we’re going to keep him out another week,” Bears head coach Lovie Smith said. “We’re not going to play him this week. Besides that, we have everybody else ready to go, ready to play the game.”

Good call by the Bears, seeing that Carimi was clearly unready to return against the Eagles’ ferocious front four.
