Santana Moss posted the following comment on his Twitter account today, presumably regarding the broken hand he suffered in yesterday’s loss against the Carolina Panthers:
Waitn on the Doc!!! Ready and dressed for surgery…
The speculation now is that, if Moss is going to have surgery done on the hand (and there’s no reason to think otherwise, given that tweet), he could be out for a substantial portion of time. It’s likely that he’ll play again this season, but we might not see him again ’til mid-to-late November, at the earliest.
The injuries just seem to keep piling up for this team, alongside the losses.
Update: Mike Shanahan has confirmed that Moss had surgery on his hand, and will be out five-to-seven weeks. That puts Moss’ timetable for return somewhere between the end of November and the middle of December.
