Arian Foster Twitter Assaults ESPN’s Colin Cowherd

I try to tune out the rhetoric of the NFL as much as possible, it’s my favorite sport, but the “reality TV show” aspect of some of the off field drama just gets old after awhile.

When it comes to these twitter wars, which were especially newsworthy during the lockout, I try not to promote them because I think their dumb, shallow, and somewhat meaningless.

I mean, Antonio Cromartie telling Matt Hasselbeck he’s going to smash his face in kind of loses it’s flare when the guy comes out several months later listing the team that guy might quarterback as someone (Seahawks) he’s interested in.

The one that takes the cake as far as criticism has to be the Osama tweet by a certain Steelers player…

But I mean, this one is damn scintilating, witty, and downright awesome. I give it the NFL tweet of the year to be perfectly frank.

If you’re a fantasy football player or a Houston Texans fan you have probably heard about how Foster got pissed at some fans for worrying about his injury for “fantasy” reasons instead of “sincere” reasons:

4 those sincerely concerned, I’m doing ok & plan 2 B back by opening day. 4 those worried abt your fantasy team, u ppl are sick

In comes a response from ESPN’s Colin Cowherd, who many, many, and I mean many people regard as an ass. I have no personal feelings of hatred towards the man, but can certainly see where he gets the reputation from the several times I have seen his broadcasts.

Hey Arian Foster— ‘We really do care about you as a human too. Um,now about that hammy? –signed, everybody
Ok, that’s just him being him, which is being an ass, but here comes the fun part, and Cowherd certainly deserves it:

Did you want to be a critic as a child? Or did your dreams die with your humility? RT @ESPN_Colin Hey Arian Foster-…
Yikes! That one is going to make a lot more headlines.

  1. Russ Loede says:

For what it’s worth, I’m a big fan of both Foster and Cowherd; more so the latter.

  2. kp says:

    Massacred? Really? Hmmm

  3. Alvin says:

“Massacred” may be a little overdoing it a little.

Besides, Arian needs to understand that people don’t care about him personally, they care about him producing as a football player, so why he expects people to really care about his physical well-being is beyond me. Comes with the territory, doesn’t it?

  4. Andrew Auger says:

Yeah, massacred is overdoing, i’ll change it.

But what’s better… Blasts, rips… I mean, I wanted to try something different.

There, is twitter assault better guys?
