Over the years the Jaguars had seen quite a bit of former Colts safety and former NFL Defensive Player of the Year Bob Sanders. Now they are talking to him about the possibility of coming to help out beat his former team.
According to NFL Network, Sanders is in Jacksonville for his first free agent visit. He has been rumored to be drawing interest from a couple AFC South teams, including the Jags and Titans.
Sanders only played in nine games over the past three seasons, meaning any team that inks him better be well aware going in that he has major injury concerns.
A 2004 second-round pick, Sanders recorded 373 career tackles, 3 1/2 sacks, 13 passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles forced and six interceptions. Sanders earned Pro Bowl honors for the 2005 and 2007 seasons.
Sanders cashed in inking a five-year, $37.5 million contract following the 2007 season. Sanders was due a $5.5 million base salary in 2011.
