Bengals WR Says He’s Learned Nothing from Being Sent Home

I guess Chad Ocho Cinco still hasn’t learned. Yes, the Bengals WR seems to have a full understanding as to why he was sent home before the Bengals took on the Steelers last Thursday, but at the same time, doesn’t appear to have learned anything from the incident. When asked today if he learned anything – he responded with a one word answer.

And so it goes with the brash wide out, who continues to make strides to get himself away from the team that he’s been on ever since he entered the league. While he has not said he wants out, all you have to do it read the writing on the wall, and know that deep down he wants little to do with the Bengals in the future.

“I didn’t get a chance to play. My dad (Lewis) deactivated me, punishment for his son,”
Chad said Wednesday. “Other than that, I’m back this week, ready to have some fun against some very good friends of mine. I’m looking forward to spoiling their playoff chances or whatever we have the chance to spoil.”

Ocho Cinco has not had the type of season that is going to make many teams come racing up to want him in the offseason. So far in 08 he has 41 catches for only 383 yards and four touchdowns. His longest reception went for 22 yards. Look for the Bengals to listen to any offers for him this offseason, but at the end of the day, until he grows up his level of play will never reach the heights it could.
