San Diego Beats Slumping Jets 27-17

Do you remember beating the Bills 48-28 in week 1, thinking that this might be a good season? Then, we started losing. A lot. Now the season is guaranteed to be a losing season. This is more than a postgame; this is an obituary for the 2012 New York Jets.

Greg McElroy got his first start. I was so excited walking into MetLife stadium. I went into halftime ecstatic, thinking, “Wow, McElroy could start next year.” I still think he can, but I will get to that later.

McElroy had accuracy – for the most part – besides the interception. He was 14-24, which is good for a 58% completion percentage. His QBR was around 69; 2 points better that Mark Sanchez’s season of 67. My problem is that he got sacked 11 times. That can’t happen – ever.
