Cam Newton (Panthers QB)
Newton has been on a hot streak, throwing for nine touchdowns and zero interceptions the last four games. Oakland is 27th in pass defense and 21st in run defense. Don’t forget the Panthers’ quarterback value as a runner as well.
Alfred Morris (Redskins RB
Morris has rushed for 85 yards or more the last four games. Last week, against Cleveland the Redskins running back had 27 carries for 87 yards and two rushing touchdowns. The Philadelphia Eagles’ defense has allowed three straight backfields to top 100 yards rushing.
A.J. Green (Bengals WR)
A.J. Green caught six passes for 57 yards and scored a touchdown last week against Philadelphia. Every time, the Bengal wide receiver has played the Steelers he has caught a touchdown pass.
Sleeper
Aaron Hernandez (Patriots TE)
Hernandez caught ten passes for 92 yards with a touchdown against San Francisco last week. In Week 16, the Patriots have a more favorable matchup for pass catchers playing against the Jaguars (24th ranked pass defense).
Sit
Philip Rivers (Chargers QB)
Rivers struggled last week against Carolina only throwing for 121 yards. The New Yorks Jets have the 2nd ranked pass defense and only allow 191 yards per game. Jake Locker threw for 149 yards last week, zero touchdowns, and was sacked four times.
Bryce Brown (Eagles RB)
LeSean McCoy return will cut into the Brown’s carries this week against the Redskins. Last week without McCoy’s presence, the Eagles back only managed 34 yards. And the week before that Brown had 12 carries for just 6 yards.
Golden Tate (Seahawks WR)
Tate and the Seahawks will have their hands filled with the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle is also a run first team and will probably limit Russell Wilson’s throws down the field. Golden Tate did not record a catch last time these two teams met and dropped two passes
