Sunday’s 58-0 loss by the Cardinals in Seattle has not gotten coach Ken Whisenhunt fired.
At least not yet.
The Cardinals coach will stay with the club through at least the end of the year. President Michael Bidwill said late Monday afternoon that Whisenhunt would remain as coach for the final three games of the season.
Bidwill said he wanted “a complete set of facts” before determining whether Whisenhunt would return as coach in 2013. He also said finances are not a factor; Whisenhunt has a year left on his contract and will be owed $5.5 million if he is fired.
Bidwill said Sunday’s 58-0 loss to the Seahawks was “unacceptable” but that “not rushing into a decision is the right way to go.”
