NFL Gridiron Gab Editor Matt Loede’s NFL Picks For Week Eleven

Last Week 7-5
Season 87-55

Cleveland at Dallas – The Browns are coming off a bye, and playing what they are calling a 7-game season. They will start it with a loss, as Tony Romo and the Cowboys will be too much, more so if Joe Haden doesn’t play. Dallas 24 Cleveland 13

Jacksonville at Houston – Not much to say about this one, as the Texans are just too much, and even after that emotional win over the Bears, the Texans should be able to pound the Jags into the ground with ease. Houston 41 Jacksonville 17

New York Jets at St.Louis – I can’t pick the Jets at this point, they are just in a major funk, and I like the way the Rams fought to a tie last week against the 49ers. Take the Rams as I expect them to fight again and work their way this time to a win. St.Louis 23 NY Jets 14

Arizona at Atlanta – The Falcons suffered their first defeat in New Orleans last week, and loss number two won’t happen this Sunday. John Skelton is no Drew Brees, and I think that’s enough said to get the Falcons to a win as they should take care of business with ease. Atlanta 27 Arizona 7

Tampa Bay at Carolina – The Panthers have been bad all year, and now they take on a Bucs team that has been playing well as of late. Look for Tampa to have another big game, and for their defense to pound Cam Newton and for the Bucs to get another win as they continue to march into the playoff hunt. Tampa 24 Carolina 14

Green Bay at Detroit – This is a must-win for the Lions after they laid an egg vs the Vikings last week. Problem is, the Pack have played well as of late, and they had a bye to get some injured players rested up. The Pack will test the Lions secondary, and have a big game, beating the Lions by seven. Green Bay 27 Detroit 20

Philadelphia at Washington – Can Nick Foles take on and beat the Redskins? That’s how it looks, as he will start at QB for the Eagles, while the Skins are already stating the season is over, but I think RGIII hasn’t given up on the year, and he will do enough vs the Eagles to get the win. Washington 24 Philadelphia 21

Cincinnati at Kansas City – The Chiefs fought hard vs the Steelers Monday night, but again, it wasn’t enough as a pick in OT was their undoing. Now they play the Bengals, who played well last week in topping the Giants. Look for the Bengals to use their passing game to overcome the Chiefs. Cincinnati 31 Kansas City 21

New Orleans at Oakland – The Raiders allowed 55 last week, and their defense has been one of the worst we’ve seen in some time. Drew Brees is frothing at the mouth for this one, and the Saints offense should have a field day in Oakland against a defense that hasn’t been stopping anyone. New Orleans 35 Oakland 17

Indianapolis at New England – Luck vs Brady. Has a nice ring to it, and could be a fun rivalry to watch for years to come. Brady will get the better of Luck and Indy in this one, as the Pats might not have a defense built for a title, but their offense is just fine, and Indy will get a taste of that on Sunday. New England 28 Indianapolis 13

San Diego at Denver – Peyton Manning and the Broncos have a shot to basically wrap up the division should they get a win, and vs the Chargers, they will do just that. San Diego is heading towards another non-playoff season, while it looks like the Broncos may wind up in the postseason as the number two seed in the postseason. Look for another big day for Manning and another Chargers loss. Denver 23 San Diego 13

Baltimore at Pittsburgh – Was totally ready to take the Steelers here, but they are missing some guy named Ben Roethlisberger. Byron Leftwich is not nearly good enough to get the job done, and the Steelers D and run game need to pick up the slack. Look for Ray Rice to have a big night and Joe Flacco will do enough to get the Ravens a huge road win. Baltimore 17 Pittsburgh 9

Monday Night:

Chicago at San Francisco – No Jay Cutler? Second straight loss for the Bears. The Niners should get Alex Smith back, and his control of the offense will be enough to scratch out another ugly win, as the Niners 17 points will be enough to get a big win. San Francisco 17 Chicago 10
