Gridiron Gab Rapid Recap: Peterson Races Vikings to 34-24 Win Over Lions

Adrian Peterson and the Vikings are not quite ready to give up on 2012 yet, as Sunday he carried the team to a huge 34-24 win over the Detroit Lions to improve to 6-4.

Peterson raced 61 yards for the game-sealing touchdown midway through the fourth quarter. He wound up the day with 171 yards on 27 carries for the Vikings.

”I still can get stronger. I’m still not there, man. I’m pressing to get there,” Peterson said. ”I’m going to come back stronger and better after the bye.”
