A “fake” injury has cost the Steelers as well as wide out Emmanuel Sanders.
The NFL has fined both the Steelers and Sanders a whopping $50,000 for faking an injury in an October 21st game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Steelers were fined $35,000 and Sanders $15,000 by the league for the incident, which occurred in the final minutes of a 24-17 victory against the Bengals.
Sanders said his leg cramped when he fell to the ground after the play with 5:42 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Steelers leading, 24-17. They went on to win the game by a touchdown.
