In the past a Colts-Patriots matchup meant big names as it was always Peyton Manning and Tom Brady going at it for the rights to who is the best QB in the AFC.
Fast forward to 2012, and there’s a new look in Indy with first overall pick Andrew Luck, and his first matchup with Brady and the Pats has been deemed big enough to be “flexed” to a later start on November 18th.
The NFL announced Monday that the Colts matchup with the Patriots has been “flexed” from a 1pm game to a 4:25pm game for week 11. The game will be played in New England.
With the Colts playing as well as they have, the move ensures that most of the country will see the game on CBS, with the other CBS games slated for 1pm that week include the Browns at Dallas, Jaguars at Texans, Bengals at Chiefs, and Jets at Rams.
San Diego at Denver is the other late game for CBS that afternoon.
