You’d be hard-pressed to find a team in the NFL with more turmoil than the Carolina Panthers; personnel being fired, star players slumping, the injury bug playing a role- yet again, a story fans know all too well. The headlines that surrounded the Panthers during the offseason were all about their ability to win the Super Bowl. The headlines surrounding the Panthers now are more about their inability to win a game.
It’s not unfounded, the criticism in Carolina. In fact, it feels like there is no end in sight for the Panthers. They have lost five straight games, several starting players, and ever so gradually, their playoff hopes. One of the league’s most explosive offenses has dwindled and become mediocre.
Unfortunately for Carolina, the problems are far from solved. Recently, there have even been players speaking out against the coaching staff and the decisions that they have made in-game. Despite the criticism received by the coaching staff, the performance of players has also contributed to the team’s current woes.
