Gridiron Gab Rapid Recap: Jets Pound Colts 35-9 Behind Greene’s 161 Yards

”Ground-and-Pound” was finally back for the Jets on Sunday, and with it returned the teams winning ways, pounding the Colts 35-9 to get to .500 at 3-3.

”When you’re running the ball that well,” quarterback Mark Sanchez said, ”you never want to stop.”

It looked like the Jets wouldn’t, as Shonn Greene ran for a career-high 161 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries to power the Jets to the huge win.

The Jets rolled up 252 yards on the ground after struggling in the running game for weeks, Sanchez was mistake-free in an efficient performance, and Tim Tebow had a 23-yard pass on a fake punt that sent the MetLife Stadium into a frenzy.
