NFL Gridiron Gab Editor Matt Loede’s NFL Picks For Week Six

Last Week 10-4
Season 45-30

Dallas at Baltimore – Hard not to like the Ravens here, who are dominant as any team right now at home. Add the fact you never really know what Tony Romo will show up, and the Ravens should win this by 10. Baltimore 27 Dallas 17

St.Louis at Miami – The Dolphins seem to be on a bit of a roll, and a lot of that has to do with the play of Ryan Tannehill. This week he plays a reborn Rams pass rush that got to Kevin Kolb a week ago Thursday. I like how Miami’s D has been playing, and they will win a close one here. Miami 17 St.Louis 14

Detroit at Philadelphia – The Eagles will turn to LeSean McCoy early and often Sunday vs the Lions, and even coming off the bye, the mojo isn’t there for the Lions in 2012, and this Sunday will be another setback as the Eagles for one week get on track and to 4-2. Philadelphia 20 Detroit 14

Cincinnati at Cleveland – Cincinnati has won five of seven in Cleveland, and it will be much of the same this week, as the Bengals rebound with defense, and a good effort from both Andy Dalton and A.J. Green to get their fourth win. Cincinnati 23 Cleveland 17

Indianapolis at New York Jets – This week the Colts will once again have to fight, but right now the way things are going, the Colts are the better team, and I think that will be enough for another win for #ChuckStrong over the quickly fading Jets. Indianapolis 21 New York Jets 14

Kansas City at Tampa Bay – Tampa Bay has won the last three meetings with Kansas City by a combined 13 points. The Bucs have a lot of the edge here, playing against a new QB in Quinn coming off the bye, they will do enough to take down the Chiefs in a rather ugly game. Tampa Bay 13 Kansas City 7

Oakland at Atlanta – The Raiders need a huge game from Darren McFadden, but the Falcons will make him pay every time he touches the ball. I don’t like Carson Palmer vs the Falcons secondary, and think the Falcons will do more than enough to win. Atlanta 27 Oakland 14

New England at Seattle – Last week the Pats showed they still are a force in the AFC, topping the Broncos at home. Now they go out west, where the Hawks are coming off a win over Carolina. Could be the most interesting game of the week, and I give the edge to a good Hawks D that will find a way to convert Brady mistakes into points. Seattle 24 New England 20

Buffalo at Arizona – With 10 days off to recover from their beating vs the Rams, Arizona will take out their anger on a Bills team that stayed out west to try and make it a short week of travel. I think the Bills will hang around, but it won’t be enough vs Kevin Kolb and co. Arizona 31 Buffalo 17

Minnesota at Washington – You have to be impressed with Christian Ponder and what the Vikings have done five weeks in at 4-1. With RG3 not at 100 percent after the concussion last week, and the Vikings riding high after a couple big wins, I like the road team in purple to get the job done. Minnesota 26 Washington 19

New York Giants at San Francisco – A lot of emotions over the NFC Title game from a year ago here, and the Niners want to lower the boom on Eli and the Giants, and they will. Look for a blowout, with the Giants getting overmatched by the Niners on both offense and defense. San Francisco 38 New York Giants 21

Green Bay at Houston – Can you believe the one-loss Pack from a season ago have a shot to fall to 2-4? Book it. I know that the Texans haven’t played many great QB’s yet (minus Peyton), but they will hold Aaron Rodgers in check, and Matt Schaub is going to pick on the Packers secondary enough to put up a win to get the AFC’s best team to 6-0. Houston 27 Green Bay 17

Denver at San Diego – Interesting game with Manning and the Broncos going to San Diego, who lost a 7-point game last week to the Saints. The Broncos haven’t played well on the road, and I think the trend continues, and the Chargers get out with a big AFC West win. San Diego 27 Denver 24
