Redskins QB Robert Griffin III took a shot Sunday in the third quarter of the teams 24-17 loss to the Falcons, and left the game with what was described as a mild concussion.
The QB though says that he feels like he will recover and be ready to go Sunday when the Skins play host to the 4-1 Vikings at home.
Immediately after the play, an attempted scramble that ended with Griffin getting hit in the head, the quarterback couldn’t tell the team’s medical staff what quarter it was or the score of the game. He didn’t return, and Kirk Cousins took over.
Griffin was said to be feeling better after the game.
Several hours after its completion, he tweeted: Thank you for all the prayers & support I’m ok and I think after all the testing I will play next week.
