The Colts Sunday looked to honor their coach, Chuck Pagano, who was watching the game from a hospital bed.
They did him proud, pulling off a rather stunning upset of last season’s MVP Aaron Rodgers, as the Colts came all the way back to beat the Packers 30-27 to improve to 2-2 on the young season.
The Colts announced Monday that Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia, and would spend six to eight weeks in the hospital undergoing treatment. With Bruce Arians as the teams acting coach, the Colts rallied for one of their most memorable wins in years.
Rookie QB Andrew Luck threw for 362 yards on 31-of-55 passing with two touchdowns and an interception for the Colts. He helped Indy come back from a 21-3 halftime deficit.
The Colts outscored the Packers 27-6 over the final 30 minutes, and held Rodgers in check while Luck and the offense put up scores to get them back into the game.
