Gridiron Gab Rapid Recap: Long TD in Final Minute Lifts Jaguars to 22-17 Win Over Colts

Last week, the Jaguars played one of their worst games, at least from an offensive standpoint, in team history. Sunday in Indy, they rebounded to play one of their most exciting.

Cecil Shorts III was the hero, as the Jaguars used a late 80-yard TD with less than a minute left to lead them to a stunning 22-17 win at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Blanie Gabbert hooked up with Shorts when it seemed just seconds earlier, the Jags were ready to once again mourn over an 0-3 start after Adam Vinatieri made a 37-yard field goal to give the Colts a 17-16 lead.

On the very next offensive snap, Shorts got behind safety Sergio Brown, and Gabbert hit him in stride on a slant. With nobody behind him, all Shorts had to do was turn up the field and sprint toward the end zone, diving in for the score.
