Simply keep checking back as the morning progresses to our Week Two Pregame Open Thread for info on players for your favorite team as well as your fantasy team!

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports is reporting that the 1-0 Lions, who are in San Fran for the Sunday night game, will work out free agent running back Steve Slaton next week. He was a summer release by the Dolphins.

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that a couple Eagle WR’s – DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are both expected to go today for the Birds. Jackson (hamstring) and Maclin (hip) were listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.

Beware all you fantasy owners of Redskins WR Pierre Garcon, as ESPN is reporting that he is unlikely to play due to a right foot injury, though he wants to run and test it before the game against the St. Louis Rams.

Last week Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart tweeted out he would not be able to play due to the ankle sprain he been dealing with. Good news for he and the Cats, as he will be ready to go against the New Orleans Saints. Stewart has been listed as questionable all week.

Quick weather update for the Panthers home opener today vs the Saints – should be good to go with only a 10 percent chance of rain in the forecast for kickoff.

A couple of Jacksonville Jaguars could be setting records today when the team takes the field at home against South rival Houston in an AFC South showdown.

For those wondering, Panthers WR Steve Smith should be good to go today for the Cats when they host the Saints at 1pm EST.

The Chargers play host in a late game today vs the Titans, and it looks like they will not again have the services of running back Ryan Mathews, who was hurt in the first preseason game.

A ref has been pulled from the Saints-Panthers game
after the league found out the guy is a Saints fan. Wow.

Not a surprise – John Skelton is sitting today for the Cardinals – Kevin Kolb is the starter today in New England as the Cards take on the Pats.

As stated earlier is now official – Ryan Mathews will sit today in the Chargers-Titans matchup in San Diego

Cincinnati is going with a rookie at the LB spot today, as Vontaze Burfict is staring against the Browns at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy.

Mike Sims-Walker just broke the news that Chris Johnson, Titans RB, will play today despite just finding out about the passing of his grandmother.
