Former 49ers and Colts QB Nate Davis Wins Lone Star League Championship

Nate Davis, former Ball State Cardinals/San Francisco 49ers/Indianapolis Colts QB, won a championship in July with the Amarillo Venom, taking the Lone Star League title by defeating the RG Valley Magic 62-40.

Davis, famous for releasing the ball with his fingers not on the laces, completed 19 of 38 passes for 301 yards, 7 TDs with 1 INT. He also rushed for an 8th touchdown, gaining 6 yards on 4 carries.

The Lone Star Football League is an arena league that will expand from 6 to 7 teams next season.
