Ben Roethlisberger Plans to Miss Game If Wife Is In Childbirth

Pittsburgh QB Ben Roethlisberger has told the Post-Gazette that he will miss a game if his wife is in labor.

Roethlisberger: “I’m not missing the birth of my child. There’s no chance. I know some fans probably don’t want to hear that, but there’s no chance.”

“We’ll do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t happen.”

“It’s exciting. There’s a lot of things you don’t think about. It’s kind of like when you’re younger and you want to play quarterback in the NFL, all you think about is playing quarterback, you don’t think about the interviews and the little things you have to do. It’s kind of the same thing.”

The Steelers are 4-1 in games Ben Roethlisberger has missed in the last two seasons.
