Raiders Sign CB Joselio Hanson

The Oakland Raiders beefed up their secondary by adding CB Joselio Hanson today, recently cut by the Eagles.

The Raiders will be tasked with stopping Philip Rivers – who skipped the third preseason game┬ábecause of offensive line injuries and went 8-10 with 0 TD in an INT in the finale – and a patchwork group of wide receivers with no Vincent Jackson (now with Tampa Bay) and no Vincent Brown (currently hurt). They play next Monday at 10:15 ET on ESPN, with Chris Berman (play-by-play) and Trent Dilfer in the booth.

I figured Hanson had the best chance – of all the released players – of playing somewhere this season with the emphasis on corner depth to stop spread, 5-WR sets. Hanson has 3.5 sacks, 4 INTs and 45 passes defensed across 104 games (19 starts) since 2004.

Hit “Like” or the Facebook share button if you think Hanson will be a good asset to the secondary!
