Two Dolphins Cuts Reunite With Tony Sparano on the Jets, Also Joined By a TE

The Jets claimed WR Clyde Gates and DT Isaako Aaitui today, both of whom were waived by the Miami Dolphins. That makes two former Dolphins on the receiving corps (Patrick Turner plays for the Jets as well).

Aaitui (6-foot-4, 315 pounds) went undrafted in 2011 out of UNLV.

The Jets also claimed TE Konrad Reuland, placed on waivers by the 49ers and having played his high school football at Mission Viejo HS, catching passes by Mark Sanchez. The Jets cut Antonio Allen and Marcus Dixon today in related roster moves.

The Dolphins claimed CB R.J. Stanford on waivers from the Carolina Panthers. Stanford played in 12 games as an undrafted rookie from Utah. He has a Twitter account.
