Baltimore Ravens LB Albert McClellan Facing a Domestic Assault Charge

An up and coming Ravens LB is facing trouble today, as reports say that LB Albert McClellan is facing a domestic assault charge stemming from an alleged June 30th incident in Lakeland, Florida.

McClellan has been on the verge of a starting job for Baltimore this offseason. He is accused of battery, and simple assault with threat or intent to do violence in an incident involving a girlfriend.

A court date is scheduled in Polk County, Fla. for Sept. 27th. McClellan’s agent Glenn Lansky says he believes the matter will be resolved soon.

The alleged victim has already filed a request not to prosecute, and we are confident that when all the facts are brought to light Albert’s good, clean name will be restored,” Lansky said. “Albert has always shown himself to be honest and forthcoming and we truly believe that any and all allegations will be disposed of favorably for Albert. Because this is a pending case, Albert will have no comment at this time.”
