Get ready to party like it’s 1999. NBC will be airing live performances by Mariah Carey and No Doubt as part of the NFL Kick-Off on Wednesday Sept. 5th.
Carey hasn’t had a top-10 hit since 2009, No Doubt hasn’t released an album of totally new material since 2001. Both could use the attention, though.
It appears Goodell did NOT pick these acts, though he was supposedly behind the moves to bring in the Rolling Stones, the Who and Tom Petty for Super Bowl halftime shows.
Speaking of music, I suggest everyone right-click and hit “save link as” on this Believin’ Stephen mixtape. He made it (and is giving it away) as an inspiration for workouts and sports.
Don’t forget, it looks like Van Halen is playing Super Bowl XLVII.
