Browns rookie QB Brandon Weeden may be older and maybe some say more polished, but he completed 3-of-9 passes for 62 yards with one sack, an interception and a fumble before his debut ended Friday night, and has a long way to go to get better. – Akron Beacon Journal

Ravens defensive end Ryan McBean broke his left ankle Thursday night against the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome, a league source confirmed to Aaron Wilson. – Baltimore Sun

David Garrard had arthroscopic surgery on Saturday to clean up “loose things floating around” in his knee, but the veteran passer sounded ready to get back to work. – NFL.com
