Terrell Owens Runs Sub-4.5 At Age 38, Seahawks Will Try to Sign Him

ESPN
is reporting that 38 year-old free agent WR Terrell Owens ran a sub-4.5 40 at his workout today, less than two years removed from his torn ACL. They are also reporting the Seahawks are “expected” to “try to” sign him. I don’t think Owens has any other offers, so it might be prudent to take a chance to learn a playbook before preseason game 2.

Terrell Owens will be the fourth 1000-yard receiver on the team once he signs, joining Sidney Rice, Braylon Edwards and TE Kellen Winslow.

The quarterback situation is still up in the air. I have heard reports that the Seahawks want to either trade Tarvaris Jackson, cut his salary, or cut him.

I do believe, though, that if a hockey brawl were to break out, the Seahawks’ offense could take out any defense. Robert Turbin, Zach Miller, Terrell Owens, Marshawn Lynch and Kellen Winslow are BIG dudes.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll was defensive coordinator for the 49ers during Terrell Owens’ 1996 rookie season.

Hit “Like” or the Facebook share button if you can’t wait for the Seahawks to start their season against Kevin Kolb – or John Skelton – and the Arizona Cardinals September 9th at University of Phoenix Stadium.
