NFL Replacement Officials to Take Center Stage Sunday at Hall of Fame Game

If you think NFL refs were bad, let’s see what happens when replacements take the field.

That will happen for the first time on Sunday, when NFL replacement officials take over for the real guys during the first preseason game, the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, OH.

The NFL has yet to release the names of the officials, and according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s because the league doesn’t want the media “digging into the replacement officials’ credentials.”

Per league policy, the names of the officials will be available at the game, NFL senior vice president of communications Greg Aiello told ESPN.

Let’s see how good or bad these guys are, and it could be a sign of how long this holdout between the refs and the NFL is going to last.
