The situation around why Patriots guard Brian Waters hasn’t reported to camp seems to remain a mystery.
Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio talked to the media today about it, and declined to elaborate on the Waters saga.
The veteran has not been with the Pats the last two months, including minicamp and now the first three days of training camp.
“I don’t have any updates on it at this point,” Caserio said. “[There’s] really no change at this point from the other day.” Asked if Waters could be fined for missing camp, Caserio didn’t want to get into specifics. “Any decision we make on a player, we’ll keep that internal,” he said.
Will the 12-year vet be back, or is there something more to the matter? Only time will tell.
