This is Lynch’s third run-in with the law, so expect a suspension to come down from Roger Goodell soon.
A comparison would be repeated offenders to the substance abuse and/or personal conduct policies Jared Allen and Ben Roethlisberger but no one was injured in Allen’s arrests and Roethlisberger was never arrested. Allen’s suspension was 2 games back in 2007, Big Ben got a reduced, 3-game suspension in 2010. This year, Vikings WR Jerome Simpson was suspended 3 games for marijuana possession. Being objective and seeing that Simpson wasn’t harming anyone being high in his house, you would think Goodell would give Marshawn at least 4 games.
The other Seahawks running backs are bulky rookie Robert Turbin, Leon Washington, Tyrell Sutton, Kregg Lumpkin, and Vai Taua. These guys could be asked a lot of (depending on what happens with QB Matt Flynn), seeing that Lynch was 7th in the NFL with 1204 yards rushing and tied for 3rd with 12 touchdowns on the ground.
