Eagles Team-Up With Popular Mobile Game ‘Angry Birds’

This is just amazing.

Anyone who has a cell phone, tablet or access to the internet is familiar with what the sensation known as Angry Birds is. The popularity of the game knows no bounds, as not only has paraphernalia sprouted up all over the world, but it has developed an almost cult-like following. The game’s popular designer Rovio has decided to roll the dice and merge Angry Birds with an NFL franchise — and we are the lucky recipients.

In reality, the Eagles are a bird, so it does seem to fit quite well. Here’s the teaser video that was released to announce the partnership:

So.. take that for what you will.

Apparently in video games, Andy Reid looks like a model with a mustache that can bench press 450, easy. Along with that, Philadelphia’s media has evidently become totally soft. But hey, at least that yellow one could play safety! Also, what’s up with the excessive finger pointing from Reid?

Alright, alright — I’ll stop dissecting the flaws of the partnership video! But, as noted at the very end, it appears that the Eagles will indeed have a cameo appearance in the newest update with some sort of special bird.

It’s superpower? Blowing large leads in the fourth quarter?

Really, this is a cool idea and it should promote the Eagles internationally, growing an already great fan base. Who knows, maybe with a little help from the virtual world, Philadelphia could out-muscle Dallas as America’s team!
