The Patriots Sign Bo Scaife

The Patriots have signed TE Bo Scaife, former Titans tight end who went on IR with the Bengals before his only season with them.

He was 7th among tight ends during the 2008 season with 57 receptions.

The Patriots have now signed Brandon Lloyd away from the Broncos (he was traded to the Rams because they knew they wouldn’t be able to re-sign him; if they had kept him, he’d be catching from Peyton; instead, he’ll receive from Brady), Scaife, and Jabar Gaffney (the #1 receiver for the Redskins last season). ‘Donte Stallworth and Deion Branch have picked the Patriots as well, as the competition will be hot in training camp this year.

New England also cut DE Markell Carter, TE Nick Melillo and OL Jon Opperud today.

Hit “Like” or the Facebook share button if you think the Patriots will have a top offense once again this season (3rd in points in 2011, 1st in 2010, 6th in 2009).
