Jaguars to Induct RB Fred Taylor Into Their Ring of Honor

Fred Taylor is being inducted into Jacksonville’s ring of honor.

The popular running back will be inducted Sept. 30 during the team’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Taylor is the second player and fourth person to join the Pride of the Jaguars. Former left tackle Tony Boselli was inducted in 2006, and original owners Wayne and Delores Weaver were added during their home finale in January.

Owner Shad Khan says Taylor is “a Jaguars icon and one of the greatest Jaguars players ever.” Khan lauds Taylor for his performances on the field and his involvement in the local community.

Taylor ranks 15th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with 11,695 yards. The former Florida star played 11 seasons in Jacksonville (1998-2008). He spent his final two seasons in New England.
