Check Out Kellen Moore At Lions Practice

Lions QB Kellen Moore
took the field today at rookie mini-camp, the same day that Lions head coach Jim Schwartz said that he hadn’t decided whether they will carry two or three quarterbacks this season. (Click on the above picture for larger version).

There’s a video interview of him over at the Oakland Press, where he seems just as hyped to prove haters wrong as he did while he was at Boise State and when he did “Gruden’s QB Camp”.

He mentions that he was considering signing contracts with the Rams and Chargers before he chose the Lions.

“Effected”????? Effect is a noun, not a verb.

Loved Kellen at Boise, but wow he looked terrible in last nights preseason game…4 of 14? He’ll be another Colt Brennan (minus the douchebag personality and entitlement and DUI/drug addiction), fail in every possible pro league.

    • Chris Bach says:

He didn’t look good, but Detroit looks to be more fair than Oakland was with Colt Brennan, and will give Moore more attempts. 14 preseason attempts – including one intentional throw away and one deep desperation interception where the wide receiver did a terrible job of playing the ball in the air – is not enough to draw conclusions from.

It’s unfortunate about Brennan because you may believe you are proven right because Colt was never given a chance, but let’s not forget that NFL scouts didn’t think Kurt Warner could play, so he went undrafted, then was cut, then was sent over to Europe, then had Trent Green ahead of him, and eventually a Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator thought Matt Leinart was better than him. For how long did Buffalo think Trent Edwards was better than Ryan Fitzpatrick? Joe Flacco was considered not good enough to start at Pitt and wound up a first round draft choice. The year Ben Roethlisberger went to the postseason as a rookie, his coaches thought Maddox was better at the beginning of the year. There was even a head coach foolish enough to trade Jay Cutler.

It would be nice if Colt would have gotten a few regular season starts to prove MORE DEFINITIVELY whether his doubters or his supporters were right.
