Reports out of New York state that the Giants are in the final stages of wrapping up a deal with the Bengals to acquire linebacker Keith Rivers.
Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger reports that the deal is going to take place, and their details are being worked out to make it happen.
Compensation for Rivers is yet to be determined, but it’s probably going to be a draft pick no higher than the 5th round.
Rivers has been banged up for most of his career, and the 25-year-old has never been able to play a full season.
He was out for the final nine games of his rookie year after Hines Ward of the Steelers drilled him on a play which broke his jaw.
