NFL Network Talking Head Warren Sapp Files for Bankruptcy

Poor Warren Sapp. First he’s the butt of plenty of jokes on NFL Network, and now the former defensive tackle has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the state of Florida.

AP reports that he filed the paper work back on March 30th.

Sappowes more than $6.7 million to various creditors, a sum that includes child support payments. TMZ.com says Sapp owes over $900,000 to the IRS for income earned during 2006 and 2008.

Sapp listed assets totaling $6.45 million, which includes over 200 pairs of Jordan sneakers and a boxing glove signed by Muhammad Ali.

Not listed among his assets were the 2002 Super Bowl ring he won as a member of the Raiders and 1991 National Championship ring he earned as a member of the University of Miami football team.
