Why Chad Henne Should Start at QB Week One for the Jaguars in 2012

Blaine Gabbert is the future of the Jacksonville Jaguars, there’s no doubt in my mind about that.

But, Chad Henne should be the starter in week one.

Gabbert struggled in his first year as the Jaguars starter, and many have been quick to label him a bust, but his struggles should not have surprised anyone. Gabbert wasn’t ready to be a starter in his first year, let alone two weeks into a lockout shortened season.

Blaine Gabbert had, and still has tremendous upside, but the negative aspects of his game highlighted by college scouts are the same negatives that were made apparent during his first season. He’d had limited work under center — Missouri run the spread offense — and he sometimes got anxious and unsettled when the opposing pass rush got to him.

    I like this idea, really like gabbert and Henne both should go into camp with a chance to start. Nice read
