Sources: Peyton Manning Chooses Broncos; Time to Trade Tim Tebow

“Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”. That was the response of Broncos G Ryan Clady on his Twitter. Peyton Manning has decided to sign with the Denver Broncos. This is according to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen of ESPN, who confirm that the Broncos will attempt to trade Tim Tebow next.

The impact will be monumental, as the Broncos will now be favorites to win the AFC. They also could sign Mike Wallace¬† (giving up this year’s 1st-rounder), Dallas Clark, Jeff Saturday, and trade for Jonathan Stewart and Dwight Freeney.

This also means Alex Smith should be back with the 49ers. There should be little hostility, as Peyton Manning is considered one of the greatest QB’s of all time, and Alex Smith has been injury-prone and rarely splashy his whole career.

The biggest fallout will be the supplanting of Tebowmania. Wherever Tim Tebow goes, the eyes of the sports world and the eyes of the entertainment world (ESPN) will follow.

UPDATE: NFL Network’s Jay Glazer has said that the ability to run his own offense factored into the decision to sign with the Broncos. The 49ers and Titans weren’t open to that.

If the brothers will finally throw down in Manning Bowl in Super Bowl XLVII, it will be in their hometown, New Orleans.
