The Bengals have come to terms with free agent safety Reggie Nelso according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nelson is a former first round pick of the Jags back in 2007. The 28-year old put up 63 tackles, a sack and five interceptions as a rookie. Nelson’s production tailed off the next two seasons and he was traded to the Bengals before the start of the 2010 season.
In two seasons with the Bengals, Nelson has started 22 of 32 games, totaling 139 tackles, two sacks and six interceptions, most of which coming in 2011 when he intercepted four passes, returning one 75 yards for a touchdown.
