Could the Philadelphia Eagles Do a “Tag and Trade” Deal with WR DeSean Jackson?

The Eagles it appears are going to keep wide out DeSean Jackson at bay by placing the franchise tag on him, but it may not be a lock that he plays with the Eagles in 2012.

Reports are if the Eagles do tag him, they would be willing to look into a tag-and-trade move in which they would franchise him and then work out a deal with another team.

If a deal is made, it would then open the door for Jackson to get the long-term contract that he so dearly wants.

There are major character concerns with Jackson, the kind that would make a team wonder if he will perform after he has been paid.

Putting him on a one-year deal could force Jackson to perform in a major way in order to be rewarded with what he ultimately has been seeking. It will be surprising if he’s dealt by the Eagles.
