Report States Browns and Hillis Have Come to Terms on a Deal

If there’s one player that you would think wouldn’t sign before the start of free agency, it’s Browns running back Peyton Hillis.

The Browns and Hillis had a very rocky road in 2011, with injuries, rumors of tanking it, and a staph infection that started the ball rolling in week three.

While I would take this one with a grain of salt, there’s a rumor floating around that Hillis has come to terms with the Browns, this even before the NFL Combine starts.

Cleveland’s Fox 8 Sports Producer Nicholas Kovach reported earlier this afternoon the story, but again, it sounds very far fetched.

We’ll keep an eye on it, but I would be stunned if the Browns and Hills have come to terms this early before free agency.

Wow, talk about bad information. 1. The year was 2011, not 2012. 2. It was Strep throat, not a staph infection (obviously two very different things)

  2. Sean says:

A Staph infection? It was Strep Throat. Like Scott said those are two different things.

cbssports is reporting the opposite. half of the staff wants to resogn hillis and half wants to draft alabama RB trent richardson. guessing chilly wants trent for sure.

  4. envirosinger says:

also turftimes and sb nation are reporting the browns like flynn. should be an interesting next 3 months.

hillis is weak..they need to trade him for draft picks or some other need the team needs..and draft Bama rb richerson..and with the 22nd pick they got from ATL, draft the best OLineman on the board..and go from there..

BUT!..what they WE REALLY need is..that CB from LSU, Claiborne!!!! baby..him and Haden would be a hell of a duo for years to come!…T.J. Ward is great too.
