Monday Thoughts and Musings–Super Bowl XLVI Edition

Well, what do you know, we wake up and the Giants are still Super Bowl Champs. Unbelievable. What a feeling. I still contend there are few things better than your team winning the Super Bowl. And now, our team won. Enjoy it, folks. Buy all the gear you can. Savor it. Keep that feeling in your back pocket. Because we don’t know for sure when we’ll feel like that again.

-You cannot say enough about Eli Manning. The throw to Manningham, a stick throw in the tightest of windows, was just impeccable. You can say Tuck deserved the MVP, or even Steve Weatherford (who was an absolute difference maker), but Eli is what makes this team go. He is an elite QB. 2 Super Bowl rings. 2 Super Bowl MVPs. He has to be in that conversation for Canton.

-The Giants certainly didn’t play great. They benefited from mistakes. The Welker dropped pass. The too many men penalty that negated a fumble. The two dropped passes on the last drive. The safety. But they were able to capitalize.
