Troy Smith Joins Pittsburgh

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has reported that the Steelers have signed Heisman-winner and former Ravens, 49ers and Omaha Nighthawks QB Troy Smith. He will likely be the third quarterback behind Ben Roethlisberger and free agent Byron Leftwich. Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon are also free agents.

This is an excellent low-risk, high-reward signing because Troy performed similarly to Alex Smith while in San Francisco, and we’ve seen what Alex has done with superior offensive coaching.

Hit “Like” if you are excited to see Troy Smith tear it up in the preseason for the Steelers.
